Winter Solstice Celebration

Join First Light Festival to welcome and celebrate the Winter Solstice at East Point Pavilion and look ahead to First Light Festival 2025.

Be amongst the first to welcome the new day with a Sun Salutation whilst watching the sunrise over the UK’s most easterly point, before treating yourself to festive drinks and delicious goodies from one of our resident or guest traders.  

Enjoy a pre-Christmas pamper session with a relaxing hand or foot massage, add some sparkle to your smile or gift yourself a fabulous, handcrafted piece of artwork or eco home accessory.

Marking the 6 month countdown to First Light Festival, find out how you can get involved in the 2025 festival the join Vicky, Wilder Communities Officer for Suffolk Wildlife Trust, in creating a beautiful willow Winter Solstice star.  Work with natural materials to create a stunning addition to your festive home.

To really get into the festival mood, we'll also be welcoming the fabulous Marina Samba Band at 12pm.  Be prepared to get up and shake off those Winter blues and showcasing some of First Light Festival’s fantastic New Dawn acts.

Entry is free, some activities carry a small charge.  Please wear suitable clothing to take part in the Sun Salutation.
